Part 1 How to change ringtone on iPhone/Android

On iPhone

Step 1. Open the Settings on your iPhone.
Step 2. Tap on “Sounds and Haptics”.
Step 3. Tap on “Ringtone.”  
Step 4. There are some preset ringtones for you to choose.

On Android

Step 1. Open the Settings on your Android phone.
Step 2. Tap on “Sounds and vibration.”
Step 3. Tap on “Phone ringtone.”

Option 1 Purchase songs from Amazon Music

Besides the subscription based streaming, Amazon Music also allows you to purchase songs, albums from the online store. You can go to and download purchased music files to your computer or mobile and store them locally. Songs are downloaded in MP3 format. Use an ringtone maker or audio editor to select the segment you want to use as ringtone. Save the ringtone to M4R if you want to use it on iPhone.

Amazon Music Prime and Amazon Music Unlimited titles are not available for download to computers. You can only download these titles to your Amazon Music app for offline playback.

However, you may find Amazon Music songs you have downloaded don’t appear in the “Music on device” list. This is because Amazon Music songs are DRM protected and can only be played within Amazon Music app. To use Amazon Music songs as ringtone, you need to convert Amazon Music songs to MP3 or M4A first.

  3. In the sidebar under Locations, you should find your iPhone. Select it.
  4. Find your ringtone file (the one with the .m4r extension), and drag it over to the Finder window that has your iPhone selected.
  5. A green “+” icon should appear on your cursor and the file that you are dragging. That means you will be adding it to your iPhone. Drop the file to sync it.
  6. Now open the Setting app on your iPhone, then tap Sound & Haptics > Ringtone, and it will appear at the top of the list.

How to sync the ringtone to your iPhone from Windows?

  1. Open iTunes and connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Click the device icon in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window. Learn what to do if you don’t see the icon
  3. Select Tones on the left side of the iTunes window, drag&drop the .m4r ringtone to the right side.

Now go to Settings – Sound&Haptics – Ringtone and you will see the new ringtone audio, then choose it.

How to sync the ringtone to your Android?

Android phones allows you to select music on your device as ringtone, so just transfer the downloaded mp3 Amazon Music songs via USB, chat app, etc. to your Android phone and then choose it from Settings – Sounds and vibration.
