Spotify offers both free and premium subscription tiers. The free version allows you to listen to Spotify without needing a credit card. However, if you subscribe to Spotify Premium, you’ll need to add a payment method to your account.

To change or update your Spotify payment method, the process needs to be done through the Spotify website with a browser, no matter whether you’re on a computer or a mobile device. The Spotify mobile and desktop apps don’t have options for this action. Alternatively, you can also update your payment method through the Google Play Store.

Keep in mind that when you update the payment method, changes will take effect from your next billing date. Now let’s look at how to change your payment method to Spotify on computers, mobile devices, and Google Play Store.

How to download Spotify songs without a Premium?

Spotify does provide a download feature, however, only Spotify Premium subscribers can download albums and playlists. You can only download podcasts with a free Spotify account. When downloading, keep in mind that Spotify does not support individual song downloads. Instead, you’ll need to add songs to a playlist and download the entire playlist.
