  1. Open your Spotify mobile app, go to the playlist, and find the song you want to hide.
  2. Tap the three dots (…) next to the song.
  3. A menu will appear with various options. Select the “Hide song” button.

Return to the playlist, and you will notice that the song you wanted to hide is now grayed out with a hidden icon. The hidden song cannot be played by tapping on it, and Spotify will automatically skip it if it appears in a playlist or album.

  1. On the Now Playing page, tap the circle with minus icon to hide songs you don’t like.

However, the songs are only hidden on this device. When you listen to Spotify on another device, this songs is not hidden.

If you really dislike some songs you can block their artist from your mobile device. Blocked artist are synched across devices and if you encounter a song by them on another device it will be automatically skipped. 

You can block artists by opening their profile pages on Mobile > click the 3-dot menu > Select Don’t Play this artist
