1. What is the Apple Music Sing feature?

Apple Music Sing separates a song’s vocals from its music. By adjusting the vocal volume with a slider, you can turn the song into a real-time karaoke experience. With the precise real-time lyrics on the screen, you can easily follow and sing along. This feature applies to a wide range of songs in Apple Music’s vast library. This means you can enjoy millions of karaoke songs directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV.

Additionally, Apple Music Sing enhances the karaoke experience by providing a Duet view for songs featuring more than one singer. This unique feature displays multiple vocalists on opposite sides of the screen, making it easy to sing along to.

3. How to find Karaoke songs for Apple Music Sing?

While Apple Music Sing offers an incredible singing experience, it does not work on every song in the Apple Music library. Apple hasn’t shared what songs are compatible with Apple Music Sing. Theoretically, any song with lyrics will be compatible with Apple Music Sing.

To find Apple Music Sing songs, simply Search “Sing” in the Apple Music app and select the Sing category. It will allow you to explore a curated collection of songs with Apple Music Karaoke mode.

If you’re curious about whether a particular song works with Apple Music Sing, play the song and tap the lyrics button. If you don’t see the Mic button, then the song is not available for Apple Music Sing yet.

4. Why can’t I use the Karaoke mode on Apple Music?

If you cannot use Apple Music Sing on your device, try the following solutions.

1) Make sure your device is supported

Apple Music Sing currently supports iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV with OS 16.2 or later. If you are using a device beyond this list such as an Android phone or a Macbook, it will display the lyrics with the playing song but won’t have the slider to adjust vocals.

2) Make sure your device is up to date

If you cannot use Apple Music Sing on your device, one possible reason can be that this Karaoke mode requires at least iOS/iPadOS 16.2. If you haven’t updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 16.2, Apple Music Sing may not work.

To check which software version of iOS you’re using, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone/iPad. If there is an update available, go ahead to update and then you can use Apple Music Sing.

3) Turn off Low Power mode

Apple Music Sing may not function if you have activated the Low Power mode on your iPhone. To make Apple Music Sing work, go to Settings > Battery, and switch off the Low Power mode.

4) Check whether Apple Music Sing works with the song

As mentioned earlier, not all songs support the Apple Music Sing feature. The song currently playing may not be included in the Apple Music Sing playlist. To test the karaoke mode, try playing other songs to see if it works for them. Or you can directly go to the Apple Music Sing category to check whether the songs in the Apple Music Sing playlist function correctly on your device.
